CSA, Week 18
October 21 was the eighteenth week of our CSA (Waldingfield Farm, pick-up point Sandy Hook Organic Farmer’s Market behind St. John’s Episcopal Church). Market Updates
The Fairfield Summer Market (Sundays, 10 AM-2 PM at the Fairfield Theatre Company) ends on October 26.
The Fairfield Winter Market begins in November on Saturdays, 10am – 2pm, November through April. They will be announcing the actual opening date in a few weeks. Many of last year’s vendors are returning.

Spiced Carrot Ice Box Pickles
I mentioned the summer edition of Edible Nutmeg magazine my Putting By in Fits and Starts post. I made the carrots and they were/are excellent. Now that Edible Nutmeg has posted that issue, I can link to the recipe.
