Saturday’s Forage (4/5/2009)

This week’s forage began at Holbrooks, where I really foraged!
From Holbrook Farm, I scored:

bags of loose mixed greens
scallions
fresh eggs
seed potatoes for planting
honey
Goatboy Soap hand cream (thank God! I am nearly out and knew I wouldn’t be able to get down to the Wholesome Wave market today)

Saturday’s Forage. A Real Forage. Really!

I typically refer to my food shopping shopping  as “foraging” because it fits the “wandering in search of food” definition. I travel from farms to farmers markets gathering whatever they’ve grown. On Saturday, I foraged in the woods and fields for edible wild-growing sustenance.
