Anginettes

Yield: six dozen cookies.

  1. Preheat oven to 350° F.
  2. Sift these dry ingredients together

baking powder

  1. Cream together

1/2
c
butter
1/2
c
shortening

  1. Blend in (at medium speed until light)

1-1/2
c
sugar

eggs
1
t
anise extract
1
t
lemon extract
1
t
vanilla extract

  1. Blend in the dry ingredients.
  2. Refrigerate until dough is stiff (about two hours).
  3. Shape dough into one-inch balls.
  4. Bake on ungreased cookie sheet for 15 minutes.
  5. Allow cookies to cool.
  6. Mix the following together to make the frosting

2-1/2 to 3

milk

anise or lemon extract

  1. Frost and sprinkle nonpareils on top.
