Fettucine Alfredo

  1. Cook as directed on package:

fettucine noodles

  1. Meanwhile, in a medium saucepan, melt:

1/2
c
butter

  1. Remove melted butter form heat and gradually stir in:

2/3
c
light cream
1/2
c
grated parmesan cheese
1

egg yolk (slightly beaten)

  1. Pour sauce over pasta and toss to coat well.

It's particularly dramatic to do this tossing and coating on a hot plate at the table.
