Yield
: About 15 zeppoli.
Mix together in a bowl:

flour

pkg
yeast
1
c
lukewarm water
1
egg
1
t
salt
Cover and let rise for 15 minutes.
Heat to 375° F in a deep fryer

shortening or vegetable oil
Drop mixture by tablespoons into hot oil.
Fry until golden.
Drain on wire rack.
Shake in a bag with
confectioner's sugar
