Hazelnut Balls

Alternatively, you can shape these into crescents. But then they'd be Hazelnut Crescents.

Yield: 48 cookies.

  1. Preheat oven to 325° F.
  2. Beat together:

soft butter

c
confectioner's sugar
1-1/2
T
FrangelicoŽ (or 1/2 t. almond extract or 2 t. vanilla)

  1. Add:

1-3/4
c
all-purpose flour
1/4
t
salt

  1. Fold in:

1
c
QuakerŽ oats (uncooked)
1/2
c
finely chopped hazelnuts (or almonds)

  1. Shape level tablespoons of dough into balls.
  2. Cook on ungreased cookie sheets for 14 to 17 minutes.
  3. Let cool, then roll in confectioners sugar.
