Wheat Berries

Wheat berries are the whole wheat kernel without the hull. You can mill them to make flour, sprout them to make wheat grass, or plant them to make more wheat. Or you can cook them the way they are.

  1. Put in a sauce pan:

c
water
1
t
salt

  1. Simmer covered for one hour (until chewy).
  2. Eat warm or chill.

Notes

Wheat berries work really well in salads. They're simple to make and don't require bread or crackers. Here are some examples:
