Perfect Margaritas

This recipe was perfected by a committee of the committed!

  1. Fill a blender or shaker with the following:

ice cubes

  1. Add:

1
cup
tequila (Patron or Cuervo Tradicional)
1
cup
fresh lime juice (could be bottled, if you must)
3
oz
Cointreau
6-8
lime syrup (See Lime Syrup recipe below.)

  1. Blend for awhile on a setting like Crush or High or shake, shake, shake.
  2. Serve in margarita glasses, salted or not, depending on your taste. Garnish with a lime wheel.

Lime Syrup

Tastes like Rose's only fresh!

  1. Combine in a saucepan and bring to a boil:

1/2
cup
water
1/2
cup
sugar


zest of 1 lime

  1. Cool to room temperature.
  2. Refrigerate until cold. (Can be stored in a refrigerator for up to three days.)

Variations:

For a better frozen consistency, mix the lime juice and lime syrup and freeze in ice cube trays in advance.
